We fired up the grill for hamburgers last night and since we had to go to the store, we picked up a few items for some home made salsa. I roasted 4 tomatoes, 3 jalapenos and 2 Anaheim peppers on the grill.

After removing the seeds from the peppers, I tossed them in the food processor with some cilantro and the tomatoes and chopped them up. Seasoned to taste with some garlic salt, onion powder and red wine vinegar. Then add some chopped onions and mix it up!! It's over half-gone 24 hrs later... :greg:

I'm still trying to figure out why RME doesn't have a "drool" smiley :confused:that looks really good! :D

My friends at work always compete with there salsa for about a month strait towards the end of the summer. Being a judge it's the best thing ever--far more delicious than anything store bought ;)

I like that you roasted everything too, that should taste pretty good. I'll have to try that. :D

No kidding!! Who do I have to talk to around here to get a drool smiley added!!

Ya what he said!!! That and why we don't have a page dedicated to recipes.

I think there was a thread about recipes...

Roasting really ties it all together, it's tasty!! Learned that trick from Sergio, when I was living in SoCal.

Shawn made a batch of salsa in 2007 IIRC that was absolutely AMAZING. His 2008 stuff was pretty good, too, but a little spicier than I like it. Coolest part is that it all comes out of his garden

Yum!

What's that website, callenskitchen.com? Herzog? Amy? Is it still around? Haven't seen anything about it in a long time.

Yes its still alive. :) Since there are no memebers really I just use it as my personal online cook book! There are some amazing recipes in there.

Hopefully Greg will add his amazing salsa recipe there. :D

Brett has also made some really amazing contributions. Boy can cook! WOOT:D
