Record rainfall here in Moab over the last few days. went out in the wife's cars up the river road and up Kane Creek road to get a few pics of the waterfalls. Then we found this guy camped right in the middle of the creek.

Yeah, it is... or was... camp site #4 right near the creek, but as you can see the creek was running a little high. He had gone to town and just got back when we were leaving. As far as he could tell, all his stuff was still there.

I resize the pics so that I can post em here.... Is there a better way to do it?

You can have them much larger when you resize them if you have a program that lets you adjust the compression ratio of the jpg 75% is generally fine for the www, you can have an image in excess of 1024x768 at that compression and still be below the file size limit.

Been a long time since I was down there in the rain like that. I have been out on the White Rim with flash floods, lightening everywhere. You could hear the rocks coming down the streams.....very cool!

Anymore pics? :)

the waterfalls were amazing at night when the rain was pouring.. we drove on the Kane Creek road and spotlighted the cliffs... tons of water... super cool. lots of erosion around town too.

that rain honestly reminded me of the Florida storms off the coast... despite the fact it was much colder in Moab...

the first pic is up Dead Horse Point Canyon... and a pic of Joe blasting through puddles on Metal Masher.

The begining of Hells Revenge was really flooded after all the rain. The part right after dump bump there is somtimes a puddle or two but on Sat. it was more of a pond. Water came up to headlights and started filling the interior on a cliffhanger jeep rental with 33's and 4" lift.:ugh:

We were actually fortunate to make it through, others who tried flooded their motor and stalled.

Thank God we did'nt destroy that rental and have to pay for a ruined Jeep:D

I was in Moab this weekend on Pritchett when it started to rain. My pals yota alternator died so me and a bud drove back to town to get another one. When we returned the water level had risen 3 feet!!! I had to walk their part in. THey barely got out, being trapped between rising water. They got back to town at 11pm haha
