Im going to Moab on labor day for the first time. Im wondering how the police situation is on this weekend versus Easter. Am I going to have to trailer the Scout everywhere?

The Scout is licenced and insured. Just no mudflaps or fender flares. AND I dont drink so Im not to worried about getting pulled over. I got pulled over once during the Safari but the cop just wanted to argue with me. Didnt ask for registration or anything. Just argued. It made me laugh.

Anyone have any input??

I've been pulled over for no flairs or mudflaps, but no ticket (know on wood). I'll prolly be removing my flairs before we leave this weekend.

Lots... I know a couple. Olly (Cruiser) got a couple of mudflap/flare tickets in his FJ60. He ended up having to take it to the UHP office for a re-inspection :D

Interesting... I have been going down there for years with no flaps on my CJ7 and never had a problem. At EJS 2007 the police paid me no mind. Maybe it mattters what size your tires are. I only have 35's. If you have 44's and no flaps that "looks" pretty bad.

The UHP that did pull me over did tell me they are supposed to be more leniant if you are driving to or from a trailhead.......so if you do get stopped.......theres your first excuse

plus on EJS they are pretty easy going on the mud flaps... but during the rest of the year you will find them alittle more concerned...
