So just wanted to post up some info on our recent trip to Moab for Labor Day weekend 2012.... I know some others went as well.

Here was our breakdown.

Friday: Area BFE we ran Minor Threat to Green Day backwards and then did some extreme stuff in the playground area. (I made suicide hill for the 1st time)

Saturday: Coyote Canyon (thanks to Steve with Utah Bronco Club for lining that up), 1st time for most of us... took a lot out of our crew so we headed back to the condo after. Steve and crew headed to BFE to concur Brittany Spears and other misc trails!

Sunday:
we ran Pritchett Canyon and then came back down. (I didn't roll...hahaha)

Monday: we decided to go North of town and ran The Pickle and Mashed Potatoes. (we found some new gems out that way)

We arrived on Saturday and ran Rusty Nail. Had a blast. Sunday we headed out to BFE and did Lock Jaw, Green Day, Minor Threat backwards and then Drop Kick. Had some carnage waited a while for parts but it was a fun day. Monday everyone we were with left so Janeal and I went for a quick ride up Moab Rim, hung out the overlook for a bit, came down, hit Moab Brewery for come cheese soup and left for home. What a great weekend.

Ryan, thanks for posting this up. We had a great time with you too. After Coyote Canyon we went over to BFE and played, 3 rigs conquered Brittany Speers, Carl Nielson, Peter from Boise, and Scott his very cool YJ with Nevada plates. Sunday started a repair day for us. Mine needed some welding, Paul's green YJ needed more help than we could give it. He had broken a ring gear, arb cross pin, and another molly axle shaft in his 44. So we ended up on Hell's Revenge and caught a couple rain showers, one on the way in and one on the way out. John (in the Blue EB) had his 9 inch let go while we played in there. He'd started worrying about it as it seemed to be making some unusual noise. Monday on the way out of town we went up Klondike Bluffs, it's an easy but very cool trail then a hike. We'll get some pictures up soon too.
BTW we went to the Brewery and had their awesome Chicken Burritos, Can you go wrong there?
-Steve

did eddie make the left side of suicide hill!

congrats on making suicide its my favorite climb in moab!

Unfortunately no he didn't make the left side of suicide hill... But it was a good show as always!!! I did get video of the few good romps at the top. He pitched his blue buggy on the passenger side for a sec at one point & then corrected it, reversed to the bottom to save the climb for another day!

We Had an awesome trip. We met up with Kawzx10 and his family on thursday and ran behind the rocks, Friday we ran Rusty Nail the end of golden spike from the crack on with Kawzx10 and family, and out gold bar rim, Saturday we enjoyed the swimming hole in the morning and grilled at BFE gates, Met up with Steve, John, Carl, and Peter and played in the playground area followed by Strike ravine to Brittany Spears and started S&M. Impressive on trail battery welding by steve and John. We started prichett on sunday but chewy stole my lunch money, we drove out in front wheel drive. I got a little too aggressive with the gas. Oops.

The good thing about breaking is the opportunity to improve on weak points. Beefing it up right now with a track bar, new short shaft on my 231 with a 1350 flange that will be much easier to find when it breaks as opposed to the cv style 1310 that I don't need anymore.

Here is a link to my pics from the trip, Got a few pictures of everybody.

We went into pritchett thursday afternoon just to check how the trail is since we have not been on it for a few years.Made it to chewy and that was the end of the line since my buddy didnt want to risk it and it was way late in the afternoon to go further.Chewy has changed a great deal since I seen it last, good hell!

Any one have more pics of pritchett? I would like to see how much the rest of the trail has changed.During our trip I liked what has been done with marking and roping off all off limit travels on the trail's although the rope at chewy had been cut and ton's of track's going through the bottom.BIG thank's to those who bust their ass to keep the trail's up to par, keep them open and wish I was there to lend a hand!

I had a great time meeting new people and riding trails. I agree with Scott on the beefing of the weak link, picked up a nodular case for the rearend "thanks Carl". I'm sure glad it didn't let go on Hell's gate. Thanks to Steve for setting up the Coyote Canyon run. I'll be doing it again in October!
