That could cost us a place or two in the event, which could cost hundreds (or thousands) of dollars in winnings, and who knows what the implications could be with sponsors. Worst case, I don't listen to him, I roll off a huge cliff and trash the rig, or myself. Case in point, St. George last year. There's a hill known as "widow maker" About 30 feet, nearly vertical. At the top there is a large boulder wall that you have to drive over. Well, we made it up the hill just fine, but were having trouble getting over the boulders. We were getting towards the nasty end of the boulders, and it didn't feel good to either of us. But I tried one more time to get over them. Ended up rolling onto my lid, sliding down the 30 foot cliff, hitting the bottom with the top-rear corner of the cage, which bent the cage, tub and frame. That impact sent the front end flying into the ground. I ended up wheels down, at the bottom, with some nasty whiplash. It hurt quite a bit to turn my head for a few days after. The Jeep was bent but worked fine for the rest of the competition. Of course there have been many other instances, but that's the one that stands out.
do you have any pictures??
