Yep, wheelbase made a big difference on those climbs. I'm also wide... soooo... not similar at all. :p
Actually.. if you look at the picture in his Avatar... the jeep is running what looks to be 33-35's, with about a 4" lift. So I would have to say that standing next to your jeep... they are probably similiar in height!;) They also have round headlights, and a 7 slotted grill!!! See look at all the similarities!!!!!:D

Look for marks on either the pinion yoke or Dshaft yoke indicating contact with the other. There'll be a shiny spot or maybe mushrooming in the "valley" of one/both if there's been contact.

I did take a quick look for those, but I'll take a more thorough look.

Just an update: I did not bottom out either end of the SWEET CJ driveshaft. I think the strap just busted? I doubt it was loose, but it certainly could have been?

Oh, and I finally made a page at www.marbryson.com of the trip. I've got a new host worked out (that server used to be on my desk where I worked, but I thought that could get a little interesting so I worked something out with a friend for hosting. Seems to be working great so far. Had a few name server issues (man, it's funny what you forget about sometimes) but it's all good now.

The pages are kind of sloppy and there's a LOT of pictures and my awesome narrative. :D

That would have been cool if you guys would have made it up the canyon. I believe you were just behind us at Chewy. :D

Yeah, that's right. My beater was the limiting factor there. I think that I chose a bad line. The left side was a little off camber and I was unsure if I could hold the line there with out rolling over. I tried the line on the right side because everybody else was able to make that line work. They were all quite a bit longer than I am but I thought that I could still make it work. Wrong-O. Oh well, next time I guess.

Maybe there should be a... "Fullsize RME Run", everyone with Blazers and Ramchargers and Broncos can go. :D

Nice writeups, Marc. I read the whole site. :D
