GETBENT said:Its a sweet ride, I got to drive it home today, because we of course had to trailer my truck, By the way, The new owner of Von's truck is about the nicest guy you'll ever meet.
GETBENT said:was it slow gettin through the 7.5 miles of dirt road? were you in tow the entire way back to Moab? man we were rallying like nothin else through there...powersliding and stuff...great times..

GETBENT said:Well I worked on my truck all day today and got both the doors to shut nicely, both windows roll up smooth and got a new windshield put in. Just need to put the new radiator in and fix the rear tail light and I should be able to drive it again.

RockMonkey said:So, where are all the pics from the weekend? Let the viewing begin! Come on...
I didn't bring a camera, so I'll contribute some random observations from the weekend.
Hickey's rig works great (was this the first outing?), and you can hear it coming from WAAAAAY down the canyon!
Shawn can break Detroits, and really knows how to rip the crap out of a soft top.
Creighton WILL roll over if he is left unsupervised for even a moment.
Chris Holley, and Carl Nielson have the two best working carburators ever.
If you accidently hit reverse half way up a vertical climb you can quickly turn a successful climb into an endover roll, unless you're quick with the throttle.
Sheared off motor mount bolts can be removed from an engine block with a leatherman.
Everyone in the world (well, almost) has a Dodge Cummins tow rig.
A dana 35 can traverse Upper Helldorado without breaking.
Less than a month after the closure of Lower Helldorado, some geniuses will throw Bud Light and Mt Dew cans ALL OVER Upper Helldorado. You know who you are (and so do I)... When Upper is closed too you can take some credit personally, and everyone can come thank you.
Blair's dad sounds EXACTLY like Bart Jacobs. It's really uncanny.
Winch rope is cool, and everyone should be using it. I take back all the bad stuff I said about it in the past.
Herzog said:I didn't bring a camera either.
One thing I observed was that cherokees don't fit in certain sections of Upper Proving Grounds.
Another observation was that you guys break more things in the first 20 minutes in Moab than anybody I know.
sibeta said:Yea i thought that was funny all the stuff that broke at the begining of Upper Proving grounds. Lets see there was a engine mount bolt, front 44 ujoint. Creighton's tranny is on it last leg( No reverse). What else was there? Oh yeah herzog's track bar. Man, there was a lot of breakage on that first day.
