We arrived in town Thursday morning, got all settled in and went on up to Hells' Revenge. This was the first real trip to Moab in the new 'yota, so I had a score to settle with the Dump Bump :D . After conquering the DB, we headed out and tackled Tipover Challenge and some others and eventually came to the Escalator. I had never seen this obstacle before, but it really didn't look hard at all. I ended up having to winch myself out after not staying far enough left and falling into the hole (you know the one :D ), and smashing the top corner of my bed. Sorry, no pics as the camera was not charged.

FRIDAY:

B-rad, Brent and I decided to run out to Rusty Nail, along with my bro on his Grizzly.

All went well until we were almost to the Golden Crack, when Brent broke his rear DL and 9 inch pinion at the same time. We decided it would be quicker to turn around and limp him back down Rusty Nail.

Saturday, we went out to look at Coyote, and after walking it, we decided it was a little late in the day to start this bad boy. What an awesome trail. I can't wait to attempt it next time we are down.

So, we headed over to Behind the Rocks. It was dang cold. We ran in to Highdive and Upchuck, then on to White Knuckle. One of my brother's buddies rolled his Grizzly on the obstacle just above White Knuckle. It landed on his head, then rolled over his body. His helmet actually busted in two , but he was able to ride out. I think he's got a couple of cracked ribs. So the atv gang headed out on the county road for medical attention, while we went back the way we came from. Brad walked right up Highdive. I got up on it and SNAP!, I broke a rear shaft in my 9 inch. Because of where it broke, I was able to limp it out to the highway, then go get the trailer.

Awesome weekend, it was good seeing a few of you around town.

Funny, this trip seemed like a trip full of snapping noises!

I Lean and I left early at dark-thrity Friday morning, arrived at the Golden Spike Trailhead around 9:30. Met Jeff (Clutch on RME) and motored through the 'Spike in around 5 hours including a 45 minute lunch break at the Golden Crack. 'Spike was really fun. It was sunny and ncie all day so long as you were out of the wind. Met B-Rad, Coreshot and his group at Zax's for dinner.

Next Day Jeff and I decided to run Kane Creek because we never had before. We got a few miles into it and came to a tight sqeeze around a big rock with a drop off on one side of it. I decided to front dig my front end around the rock and I sheared my front driveline 2 inches from the t-case yoke. Hmmm....okay, so we turned around and drove up to Hurrah Pass, since I'd never been there before. After reloading the rigs I decided to head home and fought a raging blizzard the whole way home. Took about 5 hours to get home......uggggggg......
