more flex, coils?

I have a want add up but was wondering if someone could help me out?
I put coils in the back of my 66 Bronco, they are wildhorse coils but they are to stiff, not much flex and rides like hell.
I dont have a tailgate or spare tire so there is not much weight,
I need a soft coil and was wondering what brand to look for in either a Bronco coil or an xj will work too.

My experience is from several years ago, but my friend Chris Holley linked the rear of his EB and ran a pair of front Wild Horses progressive coil springs and found the same thing you did, they were way too stiff. He had a pair of National coil springs that were intended for the front of a EB, swapped them in and they were a pretty good balance between stability and flex.

I have a pair of stock xj front coils laying next to my shop, if you think they would fit you can try them out.

It might give you a point of reference for something.

If front jeep coils will work the v-8 grand cherokee coils are supposed to be the stiffest stock jeep coil.

Some guys use coils from aerostar vans so that might be something to pull from a JY and try out to.

I wish my rear springs were a little stiffer, so this is something I will have to figure out. (or go coil overs... (or don't carry a spare tire...)

I have some stock xj coils now that's how I know they will fit the Bronco buckets but they aren't quite long enough.

Almost no front coil is going to be soft enough for a rear.
Fronts are designed to hold up the weight of a motor.

You need a long lift TJ rear spring (however they may be too large in diameter)
or long lift ZJ rear spring
OR
Ford Aerostar rear coils are quite a bit softer and have a nice length
Ford Tbird rear coil springs may work but also are wider.

They don't have to be super soft just softer then what I have now and I know there is softer ones.

If a rear zj spring is the same shape as a front xj spring witch is a lot like the Bronco spring then that is probably what I should look for.
What brand would you recommend?

My super lift could were a good bounce of ride quality. My Tera's were super super soft but flex really well. My opinion get super lift. I've heard skyjackers aren't to bad either.

Iv been searching and looking at spring rates, what iv found is the OME xj springs have a spring rate of 147, would the lower spring rate give me more flex/softer ride?
It also said that the rustys coils have a rate of 150.
What's your opinion on these?

I used stock TJ front springs in the back of a little Willys jeep back in the day, and they were too soft. I ended up using V8 ZJ front springs in their place. If you need longer than stockers, there are lots of lift spring options for Jeeps that come in various spring rates--generally getting stiffer as you get taller. (any of which will likely be far softer than Bronco coils)

I have a set of 3.5 wild horses rock crawler progressives that sagged to about 2 inches I'd donate to if you want to try them. Along the same lines.. my replacement springs are not progressives and they seem to unload a lot more than the old rock crawlers ever did, is that just my imagination?.
