Just a wondering, does moving the tank inside have any impact with passing safety inspections?
I think I'd have started with a lift and wheels/tires before doing that. Based on that and the axle, I'm guessing this is the start of a project that you plan to go all out on?
Personally, I hate having a spare tire in the back because it uses up valuable space for camping/fishing gear. I just ordered a roof mount tire carrier because of that. On the other hand, if you can use the back seat (no kids) or don't need storage and are going all out it looks pretty effective.

No!
NO it does not smell bad all the vent hoses still vent outside the vehicle, there is no smell of gas at all. this does not fail saftey beacuse of that reason,the tank just has to be secure and vented properly. its basically the same as a fuel cell without spending 500 bucks, this mod didnt cost me anything but some labor. my lift and tires are going to be the last thing i put on after my axle upgrades and roll cage atlass 11!
91 xj corbeau seats,8.8,488 gears, e locker, yukon cromo shafts up front,and my cage will be next.
