Who's "Qpublic"?

;)

Well today..... I am.

It's not registered to me though, and anybody that knows how can use it. ;)

*Edit

I own 2 Hummers. It's a tough spot to be in. My opinions are almost automatically discounted by off-roaders and elitist liberals alike. My H2 is the lightning rod, point man of the greenie propaganda machine against 4x4's.

Don't get a lot of support from "our" side either.

We may both be lost in translation. I'm actually more of an ass in person though lol.

You're kind of like the emo anti emo guy.

My ode to steve:

everything sucks, it's all hopeless
dark sadness envelops me, everything is lost
the emptiness is infinitely heavy on my heart
the light is gone, maybe lost forever

I'm just kidding with ya Steve. I know your heart is in the right place.

It might be pointless........but it is fun. I usually ignore the comments, but because of this thread I thought it might be fun to do some eye poking...... and it was.

These liberal clowns think they are so sophisticated.......but their arguments are so weak and transparent.

They did manage to get enough votes to have my best comment hidden though. :D

This particular story's comments probably surprised them........ they are used to dominating the comments sections through sheer numbers.

They discount any argument they disagree with even if it's better than their own. Weak minded, herd following sheep.

They really do want vast tracks of zero use wilderness lands, kept away from everybody but the select few they deem appropriate. Their own arguments can't justify this position or hide their intentions.

and their posts just keep getting better. Check out what the guy said in response to my comment about fire pits on top of mountains. I'm actually having fun with this one.

The sad thing is, that part of me agrees that ATV use is the main culprit. I don't want to draw lines or point fingers, but the majority of off-trial activity I see can be easily identified as ATV.

My son and I just got back from three days of wheeling in Moab where we put in about 170 miles of trails and every trail had numerous places where ATV users are going off the trails. They just can't seem to stay away from high marking the hills and every turn, bypassing the rocky sections and tearing up the sand dunes. We saw lots of places with ATV tracks going right past signs that prohibited going where they went. I wish they would realize that they are going to get many areas closed to them and us if they don't knock it off.

When I went up Forest Lake a few weeks ago ATV-ers had pulled down one of the log fences up by the rocky section shortly after the start of the trail. There were fresh ATV tracks going up there and so my nephew and I rebuilt (crudely since we didn't have the right tools) the fence. A few moments later those on the ATVs returned and couldn't get out so they turned around and came up the existing trail. (One one of them BTW there was a Dad wearing a Baby Bjorn with an infant in it, behind him was a 2 year old, then his wife and behind her a 4 year old. None of whom were wearing helmets. I was shocked that a family of 5 was on one of those things...the smarts of some people). I don't think they were the ones who tore the fence down since they didn't do it again. It shows how one irresponsible person leads to many to unknowingly following in their tracks and bam, the trail is closed.

I agree that many ATVers are irresponsible but think it is mostly out of ignorance. I think that when they buy one there should be a mandatory tread lightly and safety course that must be passed before they can license the vehicle. Do you agree?
