I would have asked, too, but that wheel was waaaaay too sweet for my limited skills LOL

TopTruck Tom called me out of the blue and told me his buddy has a Suzuki DR650 for sale cheap. I havent' even told him I'm kind of looking, either.
"Dude, it'll do 100 on the highway, easy!" Just what I want to do on knobbies. ;)

hey, i had a KLR 250 with some killer mods (ported and polished, big bore kit, balanced and welded crank, jetted, supertrapp, etc). I had converted it to a street bike (lowered the front suspension, K&N superbars, custom rearsets, street tires, etc.). That thing was killer in the canyons (downhill of course). I ran out of street tires for the rear, and put the knobby back on. What a fun bike to slide through the corners! That knobby really made the back end step out whenever I wanted it to. Got pulled over by a cop one day cause I drifted it around a corner in Westwood, Ca (home of UCLA). He was pretty pissed. I even backtalked him, and I didn't get a ticket. He must have been off duty or something. Knobbies can be really fun!

Now you got me thinking super moto tires on a KLR....ahh jeez man. That always blows my mind when they are backin it in at the races. I wish speed channel would show more of that stuff.

My baby just turned 5000 the other week. I put a thousand miles on it over the winter.

I took my DRZ out for 30 min today, I love how when you're riding a dirtbike in a residential neighborhood, everyone you pass stares at you as if you're the Spawn of Satan,

.

Even though I was under the speed limit, not getting on the throttle & just being decent, people still totally despise you.  No wonder they call 'em hoodlum bikes. :greg:

This neighborhood is full of dirtbikers. I love it! The guy that lives next door races 250's ? at the track here. He's going to be handy soon. :D
