Cheston and I extend an invite to anyone on RME who wants to travel to Ogden Valley to ride the single track trail above Pineview Reservoir.

The plan is to meet at the Sinclair Gas Station at the bottom of Trappers Loop at 5:30 pm so we can be at the Dam by 6 ready to ride. Our plans are to ride to the switch backs behind Willard Peak unless we have time to go all the way to Mantua and across through Avon and back. I don't think we will be able to go that far but we can try if we have time. If we need to push it back 30 minutes we can if anyone is coming from the southend of the valley.

If any of you are coming from the south, you can meet at my house and we can head up together.

One of these days I would like to head up and ride behind Bountiful but according to Kathy Pollock (yesterday) at the BLM there is still no set date on when they will open Farmington Canyon and the south side of Bountiful Canyon which includes Tuttle Loop.

I might be in for this, I dont have a headlight though so gotta be done before it gets dark, were you planning on riding the highway back or the trail the entire way?

We can go either way. Since you dont have a headlight, we could go from the dam over and across N. Ogden Pass up to a point we need to turn around and head back. I just want to ride, I am not set on making it to Mantua.

We just got back from a great ride. We actually went from the Dam to N. Ogden Pass and then crossed the road and headed up to the base of Willard Peak before turning back to make sure we get back to the truck before dark. We actually came back to the road at N. Ogden Pass and then drove down on the road back to the trucks at the dam.

Cheston and I were joined by my nephew who lives in Sandy. He brought his GoPro with him.

We saw some Sage or Pine Hens and a cow and calf moose.

We passed a couple of guys on KTM 300s.

Fun ride. I will get some pictures and video up later.
