I was inspired by Spencurai's motorcycle adventure up on the Mirror Lake Highway so yesterday I dusted off the bike to do a similar ride.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics...

Anyway, once in the Uintahs and not far from the Bald Mountain Lookout, I saw these two guys hanging out in a meadow. They didn't seem to mind the 150 people taking pictures. :)



Then, on my way back home I took Guardsmans Pass over to Big Cottonwood Canyon. At the top of the pass I saw a big blue racoon. :eek:





Later, down near the s-curve there was a long line of stopped cars. I could see some flashing lights ahead so I rode past all of the traffic to the front to see what was happening. The deputy told me that there was a motorcycle accident down around the corner.



We waited for about an hour before they picked up all their investigation stuff and let us through.

I couldn't take a pic while riding but it looked like one of those huge custom choppers had been laid down and slid into the front of a Honda Civic. The bumper, etc of the Honda was all torn off but the bike didn't look that bad.

I don't know what happened to the rider but I hope he's ok. Supposedly it was going to be on channel 13 news but I couldn't find anything on Faux's website.

Looks like fun!

I saw the reported collision on the news.. They stressed helmets and being comfortable with the bike you ride, especially if you're a novice rider. I think this case was that it was a big bike for a novice rider, plus no helmet. The guy was in critical condition IIRC.

I've got some less than bright spots in my past, but furries... WHY????

Did you see the equally creepy looking dude that was with her?

And no effin way was that beast allowed in my place. I crossed the drive to get away from those creepy bastards.

The blue beast is skeery.

From what I heard on the motorcycle accident the Honda had pulled over the side of the road and was sitting, then did a u-turn right in front of the bike. Bummer, looked like a nice bike.

I could be wrong but I got a close look at both of them right before I took the racoon pix and I'm pretty sure that "dude" wasn't a dude (at least not in the genetic sense).
