Both Angie's little bro's race downhill. CRAZY fast kids. Those bikes have some SERIOUS suspensions with resivoir shocks and suspension that you can dial in anti-squaut etc....

The older one works for Go-Ride.com. They have some NICE stuff!! Stop by in the afternoon and ask for Chris Hadley, he'll get you what you need.

I'm partial to the Cannondale Prophet MX meself. Bike can be configured for XC by swapping in a 3-sprocket crankset/derailleur and changing the head angle.

I've been thinking about getting a Mtbike latley just don't want to pay a ton of $$$ to get one. I want one to just ride around town a little then do some easier trails in Provo Canyon. Anyone have one for free?:D Wish I would have brought my Specialized Rockhopper home from my mission.:(

You might want to wait awhile... say, till Fall or so?! It's near 100* today & supposed to get to 102-104* over the weekend. :ugh:

Other than that, let me know when! We have room for a few people, one guest bed & a couch.

Yeah, right now is bad for me to get time off work anyway, what with just having the new baby and all I don't have a lot of time to take off right now. Fall is sounding good though:greg:

I have a Titus motolite. It's an adjustable full suspension allowing you to go 5" for an all mountain feel, or 4" for a XC feel. Above all it is a super fun bike! check out www.mtbr.com and go to the classifieds. They sell a lot of used nice bikes there as well!

if you can wait untiil the end of the summer, you should check out anyplace that rents bikes. my former girlfriend (from when I lived in utah) got both her bikes from end of season rental sales, and when I moved to SC, I picked up a kona for a pretty good deal.

other than that, like Greg said, check the classifieds, there are plenty of used bikes out there. I don't think you can really go wrong with any bike, as long as it fits you and it has quality components. Def go for disk brakes, they are far superior to any rim brake.

Trek, specialized, diamond back, kona.....I don't even know all of the current mfg out there, but unless you are really hardcore racing, you can have a great bike from any of them.

I'd stay away from DB, they were bought out by a Chinese company some time ago. I'd say the quality is probably a bit higher than a Wally World bike, IMO.

Did you look at the KSL classifieds, like everyone has said? Or do you need someone to do it for you. -_-

Hardtail Trek, $650- http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=1396600&cat=191&lpid=4

Hardtail Specalized, $750- http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=1357066&cat=191&lpid=17

Hardtail Gary Fisher, $500 (Nice older bike, good components)- http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=1343458&cat=191&lpid=22

And a Lightspeed... probably one of the best bikes ever built. A bit much for you or me, but it would make riding amazing- http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=1327941&cat=191&lpid=25
