Yup I used big pieces of PVC and moved my 4x8 wood one all by my lonesome. When I was done the PVC still looked new so I returned it šŸ¤£

Did you move it by hand or with the help of something like a winch? As long as I empty the shed of everything, I don't know if its something I could push. Or if it would sink into the grass (even with PVC or landscaping logs)

It's also impossible to get a truck to. My dream is to remove the massive, asshole horse-chestnut tree (massive in both it's size, and how big of an asshole it is), then move the shed to the opposite side of the yard and then I'd actually have the ability to have a yard that is enjoyable for my spawn. Maybe even have a bbq one day with friends over. Just dreamin.
Dibs on the trunk. I have a chainsaw. And now I have a truck. :)

Just pushed. It was a 4x8 shed, 8ā€™ tall that I (over)built myself. With 2 people it wouldā€™ve been super easy but every time I ask my wife for help doing something that requires strength I am reminded not to.

Well the trunk is like 3 feet diameter...so it needs to be a good size chainsaw ha ha. I got a few quotes to remove the tree and trunk last year, and I'll probably try and spring for that in the spring since interest rates seem to be going into a place that prevents me from getting into a bigger house at the moment. I'll try to remember to reach out when that time comes.

I'll talk to my neighbor about trying to move it myself (with his help). He is usually willing to try stuff like this. Buying a bunch of PVC is less than renting a crane, and I want the 4 extra feet in the width of my shop.

I've got a Stihl 500i and a 25" bar. It'll be a great excuse to get a longer bar. šŸ˜

Bump for an old thread - I have a Tuff shed that I want to move about 120 ft across the backyard. First shed moving business I called said they would definitely damage the shed due to the metal floor; said it was too flexible, unlike wood beams.

Due to the location behind the house (distance), I doubt a crane would work. If I'm stuck, I'll need to remove 2-4 ft from my shop width (in design right now)

Nice job pulling up such an old thread! When I had to move a shed we used round pipes and a tractor and it moved pretty easy. If the floor flexes a lot you just need more pipes to there is less space between them.

OR...when my grandpa was young they moved up over the mountain so the sawed their cabin in half and put each half in a horse and wagon and pulled it to the new homestead.
