Movie: Lincoln

Very thought provoking movie about Lincoln. I'm not 100% sure on historical accuracy but a good look into what one of our heralded presidents would have had to deal with during the latter part of the civil war. Excellent supporting cast and interesting script. I'll reserve full judgement on the script until I can do a little research. Everyone should check out this thought provoking movie.


there is some cursing (nothing über serious) and some battlefield scenes (should be what they are-I'd assume they are somewhat realistic)

It's on my list as well. I just got done reading killing Lincoln very interesting book.

I read "Killing Lincoln" and "Lincoln's Last Days" both by O'Reilly lately too and definitely want to see "Lincoln" as well. Daniel Day Lewis is a great actor. A great Lincoln movie I have seen on TCM is the 1939 "Young Mr. Lincoln" made by the superb John Ford with Henry Fonda as Lincoln. Fine, fine movie.

I agree that some of the facts need to be checked. Superb performances, great photography, great story that sometimes needed some additional explaining and some times a little slow. Now I wish they would make one of Washington and John Adams. I think they portrayed in fighting and how politics in Washington, DC works very well.
