So my wife is getting tired of the commute. She works for Rio Tinto (owns Kennecott) so has been commuting from North Ogden to Magna for seven years. Now they are moving the head offices to Daybreak she said enough is enough so we bought a home in Daybreak. The two big advantages is she will be able to walk to work so I will get to spend more time with her and the house we bought has a four car garage :D...just in case she reads this I'll say I'm happier about spending more time with her :D. I'm not sure how I'll handle the whole "community" thing Daybreak has going on and I'm sure they will love my long hair and jacked up Jeep...but I love a good adventure.

I actually live in a HOA now so I know they suck  At least I have practice with handling the complaints :D

my brother actually just bought a house in Daybreak as well, it's yet to be built.

I'm just south of Daybreak on the Herriman/Riverton border, it's a nice area, I think you'll like it. :D

My sister has lived there for 5-6 years now. They like it, but get tired of the general snooty LDS attitude..

I had to jump my old 4runner one time in front of their house, and a neighbor called the security within 2-3 minutes.. Wierd... bastards

Rio Tinto huh? Alf on here runs the cross docks for Rio Tinto. Our company does quite a bit of motor repair for Rio. Big company ;) What does your wife do?

Sounds like my neighborhood. My dog ran off the other day and since I am such a big sinner in the eyes of my neighbors I chased im down not remembering the Buddy L in my hand and when I caught up to him I apologized to my neighbor but he would not look me in the face the only thing he would stare at was the Brew Ha in my hand. Oh well what do ya do.:D

Enjoy the move hope you like it down there. Us up there in the N O will miss ya

My wife's official title is

Manager - Business Solution Center Salt Lake City, Information Systems and Technology

She basically is in charge of North and South America in standardizing all the Mine sites. It has been going on for about three years and will probably take another 7-10 years to get everyone on the same page. She travels a lot...which I don't like but support since I can play more since she has such a great job :D

I bet she brings in some nice lettuce ;)

What exactly is she "standardizing" at the mines?

Before she became manager she was working with bringing in a computer program called SAP. She was working with the Maintenance part of it. I believe she is now over the entire implementation of the program in all areas (maintenance, accounting, day to day running of the mine, etc). Kennecott was one of the first mines to change over to the program in the western hemisphere so it has been running here for a couple of years.

Nice, I worked on installation of an SAP system in West Jordan before I went to work for the state. The maintenance modules rock. I just hated thaT so much of it was written in German.

It's actually a Holmes Home. They were the only ones with a 4-car garage being built at the time.

are you building it? Ask your contractor if youd like a bid from My company! If you want a fireplace added on I could do that for ya!

It was actually already built thru the drywall phase with the exterior and landscaping done when we bought it and they now have it painted, the flooring in and are working on the counters and putting me in a 220 plug and 6-110 plugs in the garage. We close on it on the 26th. I don't think we have the money right now for a fireplace to be added on but if we do in the future I'll let you know...thanks for the offer.

Yeah I never thought of that, I guess if I was unloading my car and a long haired hippy freak came running towards me holding a beer yelling some kind of jibberish and I didn't see his dog at my feet I guess I would be a little freaked out as well.:D Good Point.
