I think you'll be happy with them. Just as a word of warning, you'll probably get them with 30+ psi in them. You'll want to play with that, some guys are reporting going as low as 22 psi for their daily drivers. I had to take mine down to 27 psi and I think I will be taking them down a little farther to 25 psi tonight.

Thanks for the tip...I'll start with say...26 psi.

When you are working on what pressure to run, try this:

Start with whatever pressure you think is right - 26psi is a good enough start. Then, drive over a dirt (or whatever) surface that will put a light coat of dust on your tires. Then, drive onto a paved surface. Try to keep the vehicle straight and drive for a little ways. When you stop, take a look at what dust is remaining on the tread surface. What you want is that all of the tread (that part which comes into contact) is clean - all the way out to the edge of the shoulders.

If there is still dust on the shoulder blocks, you'll want to drop your pressure by a pound, and do it again. If there is no dust left, add a pound and try it again. Once you get up to the level where there is some dust on the shoulders, you'll want to drop back a pound or two.

I did this with the 33 bfg mts I had, and used 25psi for my street pressure. you can do this the opposite way as well, by starting with a 'clean' tire and driving slowly through the dust / dirt surface. either way, you're looking for complete contact through the footprint.

yep, I've noticed on mine just a little of extra dust on the edge of the lugs (so it's crowning just a little) and is why I'll be dropping mine another couple pounds.

I'll do a set of 5 - part number 5254 - 35x12.50-15's to your door for $960.

Going off of $7 a tire for shipping through Summit, they would be $982.

How much did Big-O ask for a MTZ? Post pics and oppinions when you get a chance :)

Should have an opinion and pics tomorrow if all goes as planned.

Big-O quoted me $198.99/tire (Discount was about $225+ $15 ea shipping) and I think Summit is about $190 but there's addition shipping and handling but no sales tax.... Mount & balance with purchase was $11/tire...thing that made it a done deal is they offered $300 for my 33x10.50x15 take off's:D

So what's that, about $829 out the door? Not bad! :D

Special thanks to Caleb for recommending the MTZ's. Only driven on the MTZ's a few miles so not much to report on except...initially I can't believe how quite and smooth they are compared to the BFG KM's that were previously on it. Also, they only required about 4-5 oz's to balance:) I'll try to get some pics posted later.

I _almost_ went with the MTZ's..... I really wanted to try them out this last time, but I went with bias claws instead. And now that I'm going 39"s, I went the bias claws again....

Time will tell but initially the MTZ's may be a great solution for a DD. Another thing that I've noticed is they are relativley soft rubber unlike the BFG's I previously had. I wish I had a durameter tester because I would compare them to a friends MTR's...doesn't really matter, just curious.

So Wayne, with the new 39's is your TJ still your DD?:D

So, off subject but is the 'exceeded CPU quota page' typical...seems to be for me?

Time will tell there, too.. I'm hoping to keep it a street/trail rig!
