yea i was the director of the moroni mud bog for 12 years and we started the HMRA with the goal of giving ppl a place to run their rigs and to have more than one venue but as the years have went by insureance requirements for events and sevral other factors took over like guys that would put a 10,000 dollor motor in a stock truck kinda thing so the class rules had to be tightend up the basic rules are still pretty much what we wrote down 12 or 13 years ago but i do beleive theclass rules have gotten a bit out of hand i havent raced in about 10 years because of some of the class rules but i do understand why they went the way they did just dont agree with all of them and i am the guy that started the whole thing we had the first meeting that started the HMRA in the moroni town hall

well i have a chev 350 in a truck that came with a v6 ford engine. apparently that isn't ok. but for some reason if it were a ford v8 it would be legal.

seemed weird, also the "bolt-on" parts rules seemed a bit excessive, you are only allowed 3 bolt on parts or something and what counted as "bolt-on" was almost too tight

year they did that because of they guys putting built 350 in a cj5 beefing it to the nuts and then running it in stock class and that sort of thing i could run the yoda with them if i put driveline loops on it but i would have to run it in unlimited class with the blowers and nitros cars now if the pit was suopy 4 foot mud i may stand a chance but with the 6 inche pits they are building no way

yeah, my rig wouldn't remotely compete with blower rigs, but they won't let me run with the stockers either. its the price i pay for choosing the cheapest, easiest V8 swap. and no driveshaft hoops, either way i have a cam, headers, k&n intake, and a holley computer running my fuel injection which apparently is one too many "bolt ons" too.

i think there is some weird restriction on frames/axles too, so the fact that i am running a chevy frame. chevy axles, full width axles, and chevy suspension is also not allowed

no place for me.

I know there's a mudhole off of backa$$ highway that I played in a month ago . ATVers play around up there also.
Gotta go shortly after a storm otherwise it dries up quickly. who knows how long that'll be there before houses start getting built.

The baccus (sr 111) area has been going strong for decades.

There is some mud that accumulates next to the train tracks. But its more atv/motorcycle friendly terrain out there anyway
the baccus area is small, full of sharp metal debris, and is really only good for a quick "get your tires dirty after work to impress your neighbors when you get home" run. A person will get bored out there inside of 30 minutes

Especially Now, that they paved the mountain view corridor right through the middle of it.
you could probably nearly see my house while you were out there.

and it hardly gets deep enough mud to call it a "mud hole" it does get puddles, and wet dirt though
but nothing that would even come close to what an east-coaster would call "mudding"
