Multi Layer Steel Head Gaskets

Is it worth it to pay $200 as opposed to $25 for MLS head gaskets? The 3.0 V6 in the 4runner uses a steel block with aluminum heads and is notorious for blowing head gaskets. Is the best way to combat the dissimilar metals with a MLS head gasket?

In a vehicle that has known head gasket problems, I would get the best gaskets I could, especially when it comes to aluminum heads on an iron block. That's the best way to keep up with the different expansion rates of the two metals. I also had a mechanic I knew recommend pulling the block out and having it decked too, but that is a ton of work. Just buy the good gaskets and have the heads decked and you should be fine.
