I like your wheels, I have a few suggestions. I love my 7.3, its a solid truck 290,000m. I would not recommend the DP, It runs and tows great with it but the interface to the truck has a finicky connection that was a real PITA to get right.

I have been doing 10,000m oil changes with synthetic oil and a fine oil bypass filter kit from NUC ($195), testing at 5k and 7500. I could go farther but that is far enough for me to make it worthwhile. My truck burns about 3-4 quarts in 10k. You can test it at wheeler cat in slc for $12.83 24 hour results. with 80-100$ oil changes its quickly been worthwhile for me.

If you can spare some room in the front of your bed (16") and about 1700$ get a cng kit on it. I am really enjoying it running about 50%cng 50% Diesel only had it for 3000 miles but the advantages are clear to me. Its available all along I-15 and in heber, myton, and vernal where I work. I have got 21mpg on diesel towing my jeep 3 different hand calculated occasions with it. Last towing tank with diesel at 3.79 and cng at 1.52 came out to 26.04cents/mile. regular driving I've been getting between 26 and 31 mpg on diesel. saving about 15% on fuel costs and its super torquey, I really like it. My egt's havent been affected but I do have a 4" exhaust & an intake, no cat as well. Range on diesel is over 1000miles and cng is 200/300 miles(towing/not towing). This dude breaks it down pretty good - http://cng-times.com/2012/02/13/f250-powerstroke-natural-gas-conversion-project-pt-6/ ews sells everything you need as well as a handful of others around if you search cng on ksl its really simple. With more power and more efficient it has made me happy. I had NDI systems install mine for a few hundred bucks and he included a diamond plate cover, but it would be easy to do if you had a weekend free.

Good Luck

Some very good info! I have been looking at ways to get better MPG, and more power, so I may have to look into one of these kits. One of my buddies has one of these kits on his Cummins, and really seems to like it.

Small update, BIG thanks to Mitch for helping me with the install! I was sick of the horrible light quality I had with the old lights, so I replaced them with the 05-07 lights and grill. The truck looks so much better now!

How much better is the light output? Was the install a PITA? I have heard it requires a lot of cutting. Or, maybe that is the light retrofit alone.

I am considering doing the front end swap on my new 99.5'. But, I also plan on doing another projector retrofit and HID conversion. I loved them in my OBS that I sold last month.

If you use the stock header panel it's a lot of cutting...

just find a 05-07 header panel and be done with it...the head lights bolt right up, the opening is bigger for more air flow..

if you get the 05-07 bumper there is no cutting at all, but if you run the stock bumper you need to cut off about 1.1/4" or more off the bottom of the grill and header panel..

the lighting for me was a huge improvement...about a 30% improvement...but I had smoked lights. Lol

The lighting is so much better over what I had. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
