Is a front 3rd member the same as a rear? in other words are they interchangeable. Sorry if it's a dumb question, but i need a smart answer

If it's the same one in this thread http://rockymountainextreme.com/showthread.php?t=53535 Then no.
IFS is a 7 1/2'' and the rear is an 8''.
With a 4.30 ratio you'll probably have a hard (but not impossible, or cheap) time finding one. I believe there generally in 4cyl.
When I had to replace my rear 8'' I just went to the junkyard and had them search their comp. They found one in denver, it only cost me $450.00

Thanks for the help, it is the toyota axles. im thinkin that i might just try to find a rear 4.10 3rd and swap the front and rear both to 4.10 because it is so hard to find a front 4.30
