Because I put 650 miles on my bike in less than 5 days...that is not that unreasonable, really!! The break in for the initial tune up was 600 miles so I decided to ride!! I have to be easy on it for the first thousand miles so I decided to get it over with!!

First I went down through SLC and took a lady friend out to lunch on the back...sorry, no pix of her. Then I went up and around many of the valleys just east of the wasatch front, then on saturday I hit up Gillen, and we drove all over the SL Valley on this nutty biker rally thing to 5 different bars...I never knew...I never knew....

Anyway, I capped off the last 150 miles by making a quick trip up to Tony Grove in Logan Canyon. I grew up camping at Tony Grove and have been back several times but it was nice to take the roadliner up there and get some killer pix. The weather was fantastic and the corners were the best, I am wearing out the soles of my Dr. Martens at a fantastic pace from cornering so low. I decided it would be good policy not to drag the floor boards all over creation and back before I get some titanium sliders build...white sparks ROCK!!!

I will shut up now, here are some pix.

And to think June 3rd we were snowmobiling up there!
Jeez!! There was still a lot of snow up there further to the north, I am not sure where you guys go but I thought I saw some tracks way up high.

That whole area is where a lot of the hill climbers practice. I've ran into a few of them riding up there like the Zollinger boys.

We like to go way up high...well the guys I go with do. My sled won't keep up with theirs on the real high stuff (my bro-in-law is over 200 hp). But what my sled won't do I make up with 30 years experience. When you started on a 1972 Puma you had to figure out ways to get to the top when your sled wouldn't get you there. None of this point and shoot stuff, you used finesse.

My dad's got a Honda Goldwing. Bought it two summers ago, and has since put over 40k miles on it. Yes, I said 40,000 miles. He did a trip a couple Saturdays ago where he put around 600 miles on it in one day. The guy's nuts, I think he rides more than he's at work. I guess you can do that when you own the company though...

Yep, happily divorced(is there any other kind?), now I can buy all the stuff I want and chase girls again.

I plan on putting a pant load of miles on this thing over the summer. When you own a smaller bike, you get intimidated by long rides and the freeway but this bike and its handling characteristics help alleviate those problems.

We need to do an official RME ride to Moab or something. I am up for lunch at La Hacienda!!

10-4, just wondering...

I'd love to get a street bike one of these days ($$$), I've owned a dozen different dirtbikes but I never really felt the draw of a streetbike til' now. I think a dualsport is more up my alley, but I'm still down for a trip
