Spent a couple of days at Flaming Gorge again last week. One of my favorite things of fall!

We headed up on Wednesday evening. Wind kept things a little difficult as was harder than normal to keep the boat sitting on the spot my friend (and guide), Bruce Parker of Conquest Expeditions, likes to be on.

However, landed one nice laker that evening:

Weather was better, although still breezy, Thursday morning.

Friend landed a solid 40 pounder- biggest one I have seen caught yet! We also got into a few smaller lakers (3-10 pounds) and some burbot.

While waiting for the next evening's fishing, did some driving around Dowd Mountain and the Sheep Creek Canyon loop.

Not much wildlife that day, no deer, elk or moose, just a couple little bighorns.

Thursday night and Friday morning was about the best window we have had. Between the two times landed about 14 fishing over 20 pounds, plus several 10-12 pounders and a couple buckets of burbot.

Several times had two of us with fish on at the same time.

Family of course is best part of any outing. Had my daughter (who leaves on her mission this week) and my cousin's 12 year old son with us.
