i wanted to post up my little red __________/daily/cheep/jeep cherokee. show the progression of when and how I got it to where it is today.

Oh ya the only other brand new thing other then the battery was the warn winch. thinking about it though..... should have maybe held out and got one of the many used ones I have seen come on here. Like the 9000lbers that i have seen going for 500$ Thats what the new 8000lb went for. Oh well all the more I know when i build my kids jeeps when they get to the age of driving.

I kept tract of everything I sold regarding this project. My numbers might be slightley off if sombody wantes to go back through and do the math. But after it was all said and done and ready to take to the DMV to get tags this was the final amount and break down.

200.00 I bought the red Cherokee to swap the motor and trans into hers. Maybe swap a few things over to hers.... but junk the rest.

-50.00 I sold the tires and rims and replaced them with a free set of stock tires and rims.
-2.97 cents in change I found in the jeep

Starting cost 147.03

Bought a 10.00 rear driver side door
Found and sold soft top for CJ from junk yard 200.00 (FOUND IT LOOKING FOR A STEERING WHEEL FOR MY XJ)
Bought 200.00 rear bumper and tire carrier.
Bought 400.00 new motor transmission tcase with SYE kit and driveline.

The green bomber behind the XJ was another reason I wanted to do this..... It was on its last leg, but the wife still dosnt want me buy a full size to tow my YJ. So I wanted to build somthing that I could go wheel but not have to trailer.

Cool build. Nice work and what a great way to get into a rig for cheap. Almost makes me want to start a new project.
 
Wow that rig looks nice, props on doing everything super cheap! I tip my hat to you sir.

Do you still have the white donor? I would rob body panels from you and help feed the budget beast. Looking at both pas. Doors and the fenders if you still have it. I would have tried to PM you but I am new to the forum and haven't figured out how to on the mobile version.
