How is it Obama's fault that the American auto industry cant stand on its own 2 feet? How is it Obama's fault that AIG and others pay there execs millions and give them even more when they leave the company, and in between they take everyone to Cabo for massages and drinks? I don't get what you're talking about?

Your right it isn't Obama's fault. But he should not have bailed them out, he did and that's all part of is socialist plan buy one company for government then buy another with another " Bail out " etc. The auto companies would have found a way to survive or come back had they just been left alone if they didn't well that's the risk of business right.

It was best said by Liam Neeson in Batman returns.
" it's like a flourishing forest , once it reaches it's pinnacle of decadence a surging brush fire is inevitable." ( not exact words you get the idea )

It seems that is the same thing with the economy. It will all build up again and probably crash again. just the way it is. Those that are smart with there business will survive. Those that are stupid, greedy or controlled by a union that is full of lazy greedy people don't.

I hate the 'bailouts', but with out them Chrysler would be dead. Would someone have picked up Jeep and kept it afloat? Perhaps. Dodge trucks? Perhaps.
Hopefully the Fiat/Chrysler combinaiton will work out well. The fact a branch of the UAW owns a big chunk of the company is good. Now they have the motivation to keep the company alive instead of the shortsided 'give me what I want now' mentality that too often comes from unions.
I do worry the the Demos will try to over-regulate the auto industry in general, making it harder to get the trucks and SUVs used by many of us in the real world.

I don't know a lot on the whole Chrysler situation but I'm pretty sure that Obama was pressuring the creditors in to settling Chysler's debt so they could continue to exist. A couple creditors were willing to settle but a couple were too greedy (and now you see what they get...nada). I'm completely against Obama and his socialist views, but trying to blame him for everything that happens is getting old. This was the exact same thing you got from the other side when Bush was in office. You're never going to please everyone, but Obama pleased enough people that it's his turn to take the blame for everything for the next four years.
