An older hiking guide (with map) calls it "Gold Hill Pass Lake" which makes sense since it is the closest major feature...

The one North (~.2 miles) away from Gold Hill Pass... Beaver lake to the Left, Whitney Res in the middle, and a smaller "Gold Hill Pass Lake" on the right...

That second photo almost looks like woodside area, but it's missing the canyons on the right side.
