So, I'm gonna start building my next rig in the next few months or so, and I can't decide what to do!
I've got an '86 toy frame and cab that i'll be mating to another cab to make a 4door.
I also have a waggy I'll have access to (not sure on the year yet, prolly late 70's) The waggy has a 401 in it that's getting swapped out into a Javelin. The javelin has a 390 in it.
Long story short, I'm thinking about building up the waggy w/the 390, and all the stock parts, or...making a crawler out of the waggy drivetrain components under the Toy frame and double cab. I'd like to run 39's w/ minimal lift/extra beef.
Pro's Toy:
1. double cab
2. not very heavy
3. easy to change wb
4. I like toys...
Cons Toy:
1. have to make everything from scratch! time?
2. where the hell is a V8 gonna fit in a Toy?
Pro's Waggy:
1. already driveable
2. lots of interior room
3. body is nice
Con's waggy:
1. heavier
2. body is nice (yeah, pro and con!)
3. I like toys...
