no We are trying to find him so strangKowboy can adopt them. This is my ex husband and he has droped of thr side of the planet. stangeKowboys jeep is down but my jeep is the one we use to get the kids back and forth to school and doc apts. Mine is the main used one. And the money that we are trying to get from him is for the sole use to help the one out on his med bills. Sorry for the confusion. But even if we just find him so that strangeKowboy can adopt them is better then nothing. I will pay the bills and not look back. I just want my kids to live a happy life and right now...well I just dont know what to tell them. If any of you know how to tell a 8 year old there dad has just forgot about them can you give me some pointers?
Contact the local postal inspection office. I guarantee they know where he is at Believe me, local PD/sherriff contact them when they can't locate someone. What I don't guarantee, though, is that they will tell you without a court order. So maybe talk to a judge, explain the deal and maybe he'll give you one.
Also, something I was just thinking about.... You shouldn't have to find the guy for the adoption to go through. I was adopted as an adult and if I remember correctly (didn't pertain to me as my father was long deceased), but I think I remember the paperwork stating that all you needed to do was send a certified letter to his last known residence to invite him to the court proceeding to contest it. Get a lawyer.. He'll know.
