76 and 77 are the best years for EBs and you will save a lot of headaches by finding one. Don't know about that particular one. If you are prepared for bodywork ar don't care about rust get it.

Rust does suck but if its only on the body its easily fixed. If its in the frame its a bitch! Is the wheelbase of a EB longer than a CJ-7? I know this is a loades question but what wheels better (a EB or a CJ-7,YJ wrangler)?

The body rust in an EB does suck, badly!!! The frames not so much. The wheel base is the same as a CJ-7, EB's wheel way better :D ! If it were me I would buy a fuel injected YJ.

I think the wheelbase is an inch shorter but not positive. The one with the better driver wheels better.

I thought about a YJ and still may get one but the EB is cooler and has some nice heaxy duty axles and a V8 vs. the crappy D35 in the YJ

It may be "cooler", but is it a better deal? If you're not worried about the money, then get the bronco. But if money is a concern, then what is cheaper? Axles? or Fuel injection? Personally, I would go with the YJ. Axles are pretty cheap. If you want a V8, get an older YJ, and swap in a fuel injected V8. You'll prolly end up doing that with the bronco anyway. I'm sure a '76 V8 is getting pretty tired. Basically, no matter what vehicle you choose, you're pretty much going to take out that second mortgage to pay for it  :ugh:  :)

Still, EB's are [Fat Bastard]"Dead sexy"[/Fat Bastard]

If it comes with rear quarter panels you can bet the entire floor is pretty well rusted through. If I were you I would look for a something with a little less rust, trust me on this, lots of experience with rusted EB's.

I'm going to take a look at it tomorrow. I'll see how much needs to be repaired.
Anyone know of a good body shop around the valley?

Went to see it over the weekend. It was ok but needed a lot of work. Every seal was leaking ang gummed with crud, it smelled like it had a fuel leak, the body "frankenconstructed" with mismatched parts. Overall it needed alot more work than it looked from the auction.

What's the Jeep going into the shop for?
Nothing in particular. I means I wanted to be able to drive my wheeler if I need anoher car like when my Grand goes in for inspection, wife's car is in the shop, the Grand goes in for a a supercharger .... stuff like that. :)

And yes Terrible P. I was looking and still am looking for a YJ just for the reasons you mentioned but the EB would be anther option if the right one came along
