The driver's seat is torn up and I would like to get some seat covers. I can't seem to find the old "Indian blanket" type for bucket seats.

Suggestions on what works well and what doesn't?

Most of the upholstry shops around can make those for you. My neighbor had some done at the place on state street, and approx vine street there in old murray. His still look great and they are 6+ years old now.

I think I might have gon to the same place that rusted is talking about.
It's called Lucy's Seat Covers.
They do a really good job. Custom fit, and they install them for you.

Not sure on the name of the place on State but Lucy's does not sound familiar. If it helps it is right next door to some adult toy type store. You go in one day, pick out the color and fabric while they are outside measuring your seats. A few days later you go back and they install them and make sure they fit the way they were meant to fit.

My buddy got some of those gray seat covers a few weeks ago, they look ok too. Lots of little pockets all over the place. The best price I have seen on them so far is here

Thanks, I will stop in there...

the next time I am at the adult novelty shop  Sounds like a good place. I have heard there is a guy down by the Provo airport who does a nice job, but I think he's more high end stuff, which I am trying to avoid for now.
