If you've got the money for the SYE, I would definately say go ahead and buy that. It's a great upgrade and you'll thank yourself later for it.
I agree completely. It will never devalue, and if you do intend on wheeling your rig, then it will come in real handy later on.

Hey can I maybe bring it by and have you take a look at the angles. I would love to get it fixed up for free...... But while I have the money to pick up an SYE I may be better off to just do that, I am not entirely sure:confused:
Sure! Tomorrow evening works for me. Other than that, it would have to be next week sometime... Going to Moab this weekend ;) I'll have the new driveline and slip yoke setup around the 6th of June. He's bringing me his rig on the 4th or 5th.

I say lets look at angles and then you can decide if the free one will be good enough or if you need to spend $'s on a SYE. Remember, with the SYE you will also need adjustable upper arms, adding to the cost.

Are you still planning to race this August? I've been trying to put a rig together for Jeep Speed for almost 2 years, but with time and money contraints it's difficult. I have an '89 Cherokee that I finally have running well. You'll need pit crew and chase vehicles. PM me if you're interested...
