I thought I had a spotter lined up for my First Werock event but I don't. Looking for someone to spot me.

Touching a moving vehicle is not allowed and he probably won't need a spotter strap. Stacking rocks can be a thing but it's not always necessary.
The biggest risk is having way too much fun and wanting to compete yourself. WERock is the best!

probably not, I'm sure the Dr's would kill me if I tried. I kind of move like an 80 yr old right now..... but man I would like to. We should talk Jinx into it, he's a pro. I'll run it past him.

HUGE thanks to @Homefryy who came down and spotted me. On Friday we had a great run and ended the day in first. Saturday was a rougher day and we ended it in 3rd. Not to bad for a rookies spotter/driver and My first We Rock comp. Hope to continue with Jason and build a successful year together. Next stop Delta for the DCRC.

That's awesome! Can you tell us more about it? What division did you enter, and what rig did you use? I have never really had any interest in the competition scene (mainly because I'm just not that good of a driver) but I love wheeling, and if the experience opens new doors to variety and fun wheeling, I could entertain the idea. Especially in Sand Hollow. Did anyone get any pics of you guys?

If you like having ALL of the fun, it's for you. The best event for first-timers is coming up next month: Delta Classic Rock Crawl. At least a few of us on here are very passionate about competitive rock crawling and would love to answer any questions you (or anybody) might have. More competitors and even spectators coming to the sport only makes it better.
I'll see what pictures my dad got of Kevin in action. I know he also has some that his family took as he posted them on FB.

I entered the Sportsman C class which is for more stockish type rigs. Biggest tire was a 35 which we all had but I think they might allow 37s. I used my XJ. We actually had 3 XJs and a sammy that was stretched and had front dig that won. It is a lot more challenging and difficult because of the rules but a lot of fun. You get creative with what you do and how you do it.
Rules are simple. Drive a route. Dodge cones and finish in 10 mins or less. 4 gates per course. Clear all gates with at least 3 tires nets -10 points. Hit a cone +10 points. Reverse +1 point each time. Low score wins. There are usually 2 bonus (harder) gates. They net you -10 points. If you hit the cone then it is a 0 point attempt.
