New Bike!!!

So I recently sold my Husky and picked up a new bike. I went with a 2006 Honda CRF 450x. I've been having a lot of fun on it the little bit I've had it out. So far I've installed a Baja Designs Dual Sport kit and a Trail Tech Vapor on it and I've got a JD Jetting kit on the way. I plan to get a new larger desert tank for it, a set of supermoto wheels for screwing around town with, and a new seat (most likely a Corbin). Looking forward to a good summer on this thing :D

This is from the day I brought it home.

Awesome Caleb, that looks like a very fun bike! Keep us posted as you make the mods for the kind of riding you want to do.

Sweet!!!!! When are we going to hit up AF canyon? I will be out of town all next week but I think we should get together some day after work soon after that. The handling should be night and day different than the husky and more power to boot! (at least seat of the pants power:))

EDIT: How is the foot doing?

Night and day for sure. I can't believe the difference (in the little bit of seat time I've had on it). I'm game for an AFC ride just about any day (is it open yet, I've heard it's still closed).

The foot is doing better, but still quite sore. I gave up on the boot the doc gave me after about two weeks. If I'm on it too long, it gets real bad, but a ride is worth a little pain :p

My brother has the 450x, with that power he goes thru rear tires frequently.
My 250x is a toatgoat compared the the 450x

we both have them street legal with the trail tech vapor installed, the DOT tires suck off road.

I was really jealous of your Husky, but these newer Honda's are tough to beat! I might actually retire the ATK for one (CR two stroke of course) next summer :)

Keep an eye on KSL used parts. I have seen a ton of desert tanks for CRF's throughout the last few months maybe you could score one cheap.

Yeah, there's a Clarke tank on there right now that I'm tempted with. I'd rather have the IMS 4 gallon though.

The Husky was a really fun bike that would lug like no other as well as cruise at 75 piece of cake. However, due to it's size and my lack of experience, it was more than a handful for me if the trail got technical at all. I found that out the hard way on the HITR trail. :D This 450 is way lighter, so atleast I can man handle it a bit more. :p

Caleb, when I bought my WR I was really struggling with the CRF450X. I came really close to making that move but the dealer gave me a better on the Yamahas because I was buying a TTR230 as well. Harrison likes the CRF50 so he's a Honda guy. :) When are we going to go break it in for you?

I was the same way with the WR...infact I think I bought the CRF just to spite my buddy who was hell bent on me getting a WR :p...I took this picture for him the day I bought it

I hoping to get it on some trails this weekend, but I'll have to see how my foot is feeling. I did ride to work today and my foot didn't bother me too much, but that's easy street driving, so not much of a comparison. We'll definitely have to get out soon though :)

I'll call you tomorrow to see if you're available for me to come get those mirrors.

Actually, now that I look at the non-mobile version, I'm skeptical if it's my old bike. It's claiming to be a 2005, it has the stock header, and what looks like an FMF can. It also has a polysport headlight. Mine was a 2006, had the FMF powerbomb header, a Lexx can, and a Baja Designs headlight. That one also doesn't have the same seat as mine, it's also missing the Highway Dirtbikes setup adn the Vapor computer. I highly doubt that's the same bike. It just has the same silver plastics.
