I guess they decided they needed something since they discontinued the ZF-6speed with the granny gear :rofl:

Any properly geared trail rig will do the same but it is cool that they have put that into a production rig.

I also believe that other companies have done similar systems (Land Rover seems to stick in my head)

Yeah, I think we're going to see a lot more of these systems in factory vehicles. One thing I absolutely love is the electronic locking rear dif. It's a simple pull of a knob on the dash and the rear end is fully locked. And this straight from Ford. No need for an ARB.

Pretty cool feature :cool:

It really seems like Ford held nothing back with their new trucks. In an offroad sense there are a ton of great features compared to the other diesel trucks on the market.
