Hello All, I stumbled onto this site trying to get the trail layout for Sand Hollow SP, in St. George and figured it looked like a pretty good site for getting up to date on all the good local trails in the UT area.

My name is Barclay, and I’m originally from upstate South Carolina, but recently moved here to Logan, UT to learn to fly helicopters commercially. I brought my rig with me and while I’ve wheeled Moab about a dozen times, and a lot of the trails on CO’s western slope, I don’t know much about the lesser known wheeling spots in the area. So I’m looking forward to discovering some neat new wheeling spots as well as being 5 hrs away from Moab and Grand Junction vs ~34 hrs.

And the obligatory rig pics-

So, hello again, and I hope to see ya’ll on the trail.

We frequently go to five mile pass or more specifically the snakes. Rattlesnake and Constrictor. They are located between the citys of eagle mountain and Stockton. Near the old pony express route. Very fun place with options as far as taking an easy bypass type route or hard line. Talk to Jinxspot. he is one hell of a cool cat and seems to instigate a lot of outings he runs with the Bush eaters club a very great bunch of cool people. And they actually get out quite often not like some clubs that sit around talking about all the great places they used to go. It sounds as though you are a competent driver. As long as you are friendly. And observe some trail mannors picking up after yourself staying sober enough to not be a danger to yourself or others. I for one feel the more the merrier. The local trails are kind of muddy at the moment and the ones in american fork canyon are closed . Because of the deep snow but they are so easy they get kind of boring anyway. Just super pretty and cooler in the summer months. Good luck bro hope to see you on the trail soon. Mombo.

Thanks for the warm welcoming! Read the forum rules, they seem pretty straight forward and just common sense. Good to see a familiar "face" or two and I appreciate the pre-invites. I'm definitely down to wheel just about whenever I'm not in the air. I'm more or less entirely self reliant (save for occasional directions to a trailhead), don't need my hand held, and am pretty laid back and easy to get along with. As far as proper trail conduct and picking up after one's self, there is enough disregard for proper trail etiquette or "treading lightly" back east to make you sick; I won't have any part of that. Can't wait to get on some trails and meet some new folks.
