Thanks guys. I spent just shy of forever on compiling my firt post, so when I got around to this one I was just mumbling.
I'm not as much of an off roader that I once was, back in the day when a lot of area were open that are now closed. So I look at it and figure, well maybe there is somewhere I an help keep open.
I spent about 4 years working on a project with the USFS in Colorado on just that, only to see the federal bureaucracy work flawlessly. Located and mapped a series of roads that the eco-terroristas demanded be closed, identified which ones fall under RS2477 jurisdiction, turned in my final report, and 3 months later the USFS closed every single one of those roads and dismantling a small ghost town that had very few visitors. Very beautiful country. It was an interesting time.
