Hey all, happy to see a forum for people close to home. I drive a '73 Scout II that presently is stock. I also have 2 other Scouts I bought for parts. Between the three of them I hope to avoid any trips to the salvage yards if ya know what I mean.

I'm new to the rock-crawling scene but not to the Scout scene. I have owned 4 Scouts now and hopefully many more. i have big plans for my '73 and will keep you posted of my progress. My plans include:

SOA conversion
35X12.5X15 BFG Mud Terrains
Lockers
2" body lift
roll cage
paint,etc.

If anybody is interested in organizing a Scout or IH club here in Salt Lake, drop me an email threedimdraw@yahoo.com

Thanks,

Eric

Welcome to a great website Eric. There is about 5-10 of us IH owners on the board. Lets get the ball rolling on an IH outing of some kind.

Thanks, Brad J.

Well thanks for the hospitality! I have alot of work to do before I can do any serious off-roading. I've had the new Scout out a few times and the only that has stopped her yet is lack of clearance. Other than that there's no stoppin' her! This thing is so fun to drive I almost can't stand anything else. I have a Nissan 4X4 and a Civic also and when we go anywhere I have the wifee drive 'cause theyre so lame. I can't wait to be sittin on 35's.

Yes its me. Whassup Kurt. Did you get that planetary gear thing?

Yup, the planetary one wasn't too bad... I got slaughtered on the pistion acceleration problem... I got 1/2 done and then said f*** it... I only needed a 80% to get a A in the class.... hope he liked my "theory of conveyor belts" report... :D

Welcome to RME dude!
