I've been talking to some of you on Pirate, forgive me for not knowing names. But now the wife and I finally got into town last Saturday and are looking to do some local wheeling in the near future.
My rig is not exactly set up for rocks but I think it'll do ok. It's a 76 scout full tube body and hardtop. 360 mopar 727/ dana 20 60's f&r 5:89 r&p full detroit in front and detroit e-locker in rear. Hydro assist steering. 39 Iroks for summer & 38.5 Boggers every other lug cut out & studded for winter bot sets on Bobby Long's beadlocks.
It's mainly made to handle the tight tree lined trails of the Pacific NW and does really well.
So I'll be watching the board if you guys can tell me what's more local, by local I'm thinking within a hour of Magna I'd be thankful. Thanks TT

Welcome to Utah & RME!

Within an hour of Magna would be 5 Mile Pass & the Snakes trails; Rattlesnake & Constrictor. They'll quench your thirst for local wheelin. Watch the Upcoming Trips section for people headed that way.

Join up on some of the Price & Delta runs as well. They are a little further away but are great places to wheel as well.

There's a couple of mildish trails out there. One has/had some good obstacles.

That would be 5 Mile Pass ATV recreation area, you drove right past the staging area for Rattlesnake & Constrictor. There's some cool exploring to do out there, lot's of neat history in the area too. If you get a chance next time you head that way, check out Ophir. It's a neat old mining town hidden up a tight canyon.

To get to Ophir do I need the wheeler or can the wifes Tahoe get there? That sounds like a easy look around run.

The Tahoe will be perfect, it's a scenic, neat-type drive. Get with some of the guys that are headed to the Snakes trails for the real fun stuff, seems like someone posts up about heading out there once a weekend.
