So i went out today and looked at all my 24 valve timing covers some have the cast hump over the pin and the otherstyle has a ridge in the hole where the dowel pin slides in but the ridge that is cast in to the hole keeps the pin from falling out completely there are 2 different styles and both fix the KDP issue

How much does that air dog 2 cost? I understand completely on that i hate when stuff is mickey moused together! It might be good for a little while but its just easier to do it right the first time.

As for the 53 block........ Good luck! I've seen quite a few give out over the years.

My 01 had the 53 (lots of 98-02's do) and it didn't crack and it didn't crack--I sold the truck with 210K on the odo. I don't know if I would add a lot of hp and psi to a 53 block over stock, but I'm the conservative type that only does reliability mods because I think these motors have plenty of power out of the box

the airdog 150 wich is the most popular is 475 bucks with free shipping you can also get the raptor fuel pump wich is made by airdog its the same pump as the airdog 150 it just doenst have the filters on it you would jusr use your stock fuel filter canister and the raptor is about 380

I dont think the 02 had the 53 block, they stopped in 01.
