those sneaky trains will get you every time... 
do trains have to sound their horn when they cross the road? the train tracks cross 2nd south right behind my house and the trains always honk.
sometimes it's cool and it's just a quick couple of blasts, but some assholes will lay on the horn for like 3 20 second solid blasts. At 3 a.m. thats a little excessive!

It's a rule that a train has to blow the whistle at every crossing, in a series of short & long blasts. There's a little black box on each unit that records what the crew is doing, so they make sure they do their job.
Funny about #6, we saw it in Palisade at 4:30 & wondered why they were late. I wondered about you Dan. Oh... who's the female conductor running #5? The guys got excited when they heard her on the radio.

I thought it was just us track guys... seems like some of 'em use the F-word 3 times in a 4 word sentence. Too funny, some of the guys get excited when they hear a chick on the radio. At least she sounds better to listen to compared to you old guys.

Yeah, about the time we decide to be polite and shorten the horn sequence up a bit, there's a manager hiding in the bushes to bust us. The last long blast is supposed to last until the nose of the engine is completely across the road crossing.
