noise after lift

Okay I got the lift put on, but I now here a ticking noise when going between 30-50mph. I know the best fix for that is to go faster or turn the radio up more. But I would rather it go away. However it does seem to stop when I turn left. It almost sounds like something like the fan hitting the gaurd. But I have looked and it does not seem that loose. Well any help on this will be great. This is a 4" lift on an 88yj.

Could be a U joint that is now wearing in a different spot since I am sure that there is a different angle on the driveshaft now. High speed tick or slow?

Well everyone view is diff but I would say it is a slow to medium tick. If it is that way would it stop while I am turning left?

It probably wouldn't stop. Checked to make sure all your wheels are tight? Whenever my spacers come loose, I get a tick from the wheel.....could be a place to check.

You might check the differential vent line up front or any other lines that could have been stretched into contact with something when you lifted it.

are you on coils or leafs. is your noise regular or is it intermittent?

I have leafs and when we first finished I drove around the block and it did not make the nosie but on the way home from SLC to Tooele I noticed it when I got close to home. Also if there is anyone that lives in Tooele I can meet you if someone can listen to it and see what they think.

I have tomorrow off as well. I will have my little person until around 3PM So anytime after that I am free :).. I will give you a call in the morning to figure everything out :)

Okay found the problem and it was a real cheap fix. I guess my exhaust had shifted a little once we dropped the transfer case so it was rubbing on my front drive shaft. Well went to home depo and got a few things ($6.00) and moved it over and noise gone. Will have to work on a more permanent fix later. It is true you need a second pair of eyes to see it, thanks tooelecherokee for pointing out the problem after 5 min there.
