Well, Im still a newbie, but I really like alot of what Ive seen on this board so far. so, well, your stuck with me.

Ive been pretty busy lately however, and havent had a chance to contribute, well, anything thus far, so I decided to show you guys what Im working on currently. I know its nothing exciting, but I just wanted to post something so I dont look like a troll.

This is the start of my axle swap.

How the Jeep sat:

(kinda blurry pic, but whatever)

Started with the rear:

And thats as far as I got last night.
Time permiting, these will be in by the end of next weekend, and the Jeep will be ready to wheel for a Rausch Creek trip my local club is taking at the beginning of May.

Jumping from stock axles to these:
Dana60/Sterling10.25, both locked by ARBs.

Like I said, nothing interesting, but I felt like sharing what I am working on. I'll post the finished product, well, when Its finished I guess. haha

Also, in the third picture, I just want to mention the safety aspect. Trust me when I say I was NEVER under the jeep while it was like that, and that this picture was taken in the 5 min. between the jeep supporting its own weight on the ground and the point where the axle was pulled. right after, jackstands were placed to support the Jeep more so then is shown. (couldnt before hand because the LCA would have caught them as I pulled the axle)

Im Fred, Im from Connecticut. I made a post in the intro forum that explains how i found you guys. But yeah, ill have to see if i can find any pictures of my property. Front lawn was always killer... well, actually still is... for sledding (nothing like out west, but pretty decent for around here) and theres some good wheeling in my back yard. lots of rocks and a few good hill climbs. Not bad for where I live in CT.
