Hey fellas, I'm Dave, 21, from Layton.

I found this site after a quick Google search for Utah off-roading clubs/forums. I'm relatively new to off-roading but not to automotive performance and modification. Just picked up my first truck, a '92 Ranger 4x4, with the electric BW-1354 t-case, manual trans, and 4-liter V6. It's bone-stock, ugly, and cheap [$400], perfect for a rock beater. Once I find the limits of the TTB front end [probably won't be hard] I'm considering a pair of Jeep D30s, or possibly 3/4-ton Ford axles with leaf setup front and rear to keep it simple, unless I can draw up and fabricate a nice 3- or 4-link setup relatively easily.

I'm a car guy, with too many projects. Currently in the stable:
-1987 Mitsubishi Starion ESi-R - road-race project, getting a twin-turbo LQ4/T56 combo and modified Nissan suspension.
-1985 Dodge Conquest ES - future daily? Who knows, I just saved it from the scrapheap, too rare to throw away.
-1994 Acura Integra LS - stolen and stripped, recovered as a shell, hopefully sold in the Spring.

I own and operate a forum dedicated to canyon-carving, track racing, and drifting [ www.define-spec.com ]. Driving is my passion, but as of late the redneck in me has been itching to go crawling [I'm a backwoods Texan native  ], so here I am.

Here's to hoping I can meet up with a few of you, learn some stuff, and have a good time on some trails and rocks.

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Yeah, I love my Conquest and Starion, they're my babies, haha.

What part of Kaysville are you from rholbrook? I'm pretty sure I've seen you around.
