I didn't get a good look at the axle yet. I'll try to size things up tomorrow. Thanks for the invite Red!

Next time I'll watch out for that drop off!

bout a good 4-5 foot drop off there sumo, just bounced your rig across it ouch!

Yeah, that moment of weightlessness as the front dipped down was kinda dream-like.... but the next moment when the front tires hit the ground was more like a nightmare :p

Is our Toyota buddy on the forum here? I'm assuming not, since he hasn't chimed in. Big thanks to him for guiding us, and a big thanks to you Red for putting the run together.

Where do you want to go next?

patric (guy in the 4runner) knows his way around alot of trails up there pretty good, i've been taggin along with him on most of the trips i've been on since i came up to utah a few months ago. no problem man.

i'm most likely out for this upcomeing weekend, my sister is comin up from Texas for a few days and said she MIGHT be interested in doin some snow wheelin but not sure. kinda thinking i'll check out the snow wheelin areas of 5 mile pass tomorrow and just see how they'll be. i'll make sure to post up in the upcomeing trips section again when the next get together will be happening, usually go at least every other weekend though.

do you have the equipment to fix your axles or are you planning to take it to a shop? the main tool that i dont have to fix the problems are an axle jig to make sure its straight but i've got a welder and a few other basic metal fabrication tools.

I've gotta get it out from under the rig then tear down to see really how bad it is on the diff. The front was a detroit that I lost teeth on maybe 6 months back and just welded it up as a spool. Hopefully I can straighten out enough and slap in some bracing to get it by for a while.

If not, can anyone recommend a local shop that may be able to straighten this housing for me?
