Canyon Country 4x4 Club - Hog Canyon - Clean up

RME - 5 mile pass - Clean up - Date: Saturday, Sept. 25th, 2010
Meeting Location: Main parking area of 5 Mile Pass, North of the road.
Meeting Time: 9 AM
Cleanup time frame: Should be done by 2-3 PM.

Moab Friends-For-Wheelin' will be installing fencing at "Thelma and Louise Point" near Moab.

Canyon Country 4x4 Club will be out again of course.

I'm assuming a cleanup/trail repair somewhere on the Hog Canyon system but no details yet

RME will be putting together a clean-up of 5 Mile Pass, as usual.

Sept 25th, starting at 10 AM. Our goal will be trash cleanup. We will be meeting at the main parking area to distribute garbage bags, make clean-up plans and go out from there.

We're going to need a lot of help, for some reason people think 5 Mile Pass is a garbage dump. We've been cleaning up 5MP for several years now and each year we go back for NPLD, it looks like we were never there. I would like to see at least 50 RME members out there, we could really use the help.

HubScratchers will be doing a third annual cleanup, problem is we have too many projects to chose from, I am going to work with the local forrest service to see if they have a priority, Ill post what I find out.

i did some bird hunting up there last fall (Farmington Flats), stuffed my 5gal bucket with garb every time, it could use some help. ill be planning on going up there this time.

We've been cleaning up 5MP for several years now and each time we go back 2 weeks later,it looks like we were never there. I would like to see at least 50 RME members out there, we could really use the help.

It would be good to get 50+ out there. There is a lot of area to cover, a lot of trash to pick up, and as northern UT wheeling areas go, 5MP is maybe the most visible, most monitored, and most visited places around. I can't think of another, really. It is this cleanup, north, that the BLM sees.

we are meeting at 9am, sat Sept 25th at Snow College west campus parking lot and will convoy out west to dry canyon, we have a roll-off dumpster donated by N.S. Disposal, and Gloves, trashbags, Lunch and refreshments donated by some local buisinesses.

All groups will be meeting at the Tibble Fork Parking lot at 8:00 am.

Please bring your own Personal Protection Equipment: Long pants, leather boots, gloves, safety glasses, extra water, food.

Utah 4x4 Club will be conducting fence building and clean up project on Forest Lake Trail.

Lone Peak 4wheelers will be doing clean up and illegal bypass closures on Mary Ellens Gulch.

Dirt Hedz Off-Road Club will be closing illegal bypasses on Mineral Basin.

We are also looking for a small group of volunteers to help closing an illegal route near the Graveyard Flats Cemetery.

Hey guys, this is happening Saturday. Be sure to get all your wheelin buddies, friends, neighbors, everyone out to a project. Everyone needs to do their part to help keep trails open, it is not the responsibility of a few to protect everyones rights.

We need as many volunteers up AF canyon to help with a big project at the Graveyard Flats area, if you can make it up to Tibble Fork by 8:00, find me, big harry guy in a 78 Green and white Bronco.
