National Public Lands Day is around the corner and like the past years, Rocky Mountain Extreme will be focusing on 5 Mile Pass.
Date: Saturday, Sept. 29th, 2007
Meeting Location: Main parking area of 5 Mile Pass, North of the road.
Meeting Time: 9 am
Cleanup time frame: Should be done by 2-3 pm.
Those that are interested in bring their rigs are encouraged, there will be plenty of time for a trail run afterwards.
The BLM will provide us with a large dumpster & specific locations of areas that need to be cleaned up. We need 15-20 people and 5+ vehicles for hauling. Wear pants, boots and bring some work gloves! I'd also recommend packing a lunch, snacks & water/drinks.
The U4WDA will be providing t-shirts for each volunteer and the BLM will be providing free park passes!
We need volunteers to help!! Please come join us, give back a few hours of your time & help make the areas we love, better for all to enjoy! Will you be there?! I'll be coming up from Colorado... if I can make it, you can too.
National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands Americans enjoy. In 2006,100,000 volunteers built trails and bridges, planted trees and plants, and removed trash and invasive plants. Join us for the 14th annual National Public Lands Day.
