NPLD at 5 Mile Pass

So I have yet to see a report on the clean up at 5mp yet. In my opinion it went pretty well. I think we had about 15 or so guys there. We all but filled the big dumpster with alot of just plain dumped materials. Me and Dabears were cleaning up in the second OHV lot and some guy had the nerve to thor a bottle out in the bushes by his truck and started shooting it with a bb gun. We were 20ft away with trash bags. He shot it few times then jumped on his bike and left. What an A$^! Anyhow I think it went well hopefully Joe or somebody was able to get some pics. THANKS RME! Me and the family had a good time! Also Sorry Bear i was wanted to help you with AF but saw that you had alot of help already and Kiel well yea.

Glad to hear that your project went good. I couldn't believe the IDIOTS that were trying to get around the fences we just installed, even while we were still standing there.

Nice meeting everyone, I was glad we nearly filled the dumpster up. We cleaned up the areas south of the parking area and found plenty of shot up TVs, cans, treadmill, tire, burnt up camp chairs, half filled vodka bottles, and a bunch of other nasty stuff. For an area that is closed to shooting we sure picked up a lot of shot up stuff.

My daughter Shelby and i struck gold with a string of camp sites north west of the main staging area that looked like the major party area, We felt good about the clean up, the camp areas looked very respecible when we finsished.
We did a run up rattlsnake and constrictor afterwards. a fun day over all.

I'll post more as they upload. Good turn out, glad we had 3 trailers to haul stuff to the dumpster. We mainly focused on the cleanup of the single wide trailer that was spotted last year. The frame was gone, but there was plenty to be cleaned up. Found a dead dog there and Tacoma's old porn stash, both went in a garbage bag ASAP. Several mice were evicted from the site also.

So who was the gentleman I was talking with about my military trailer? You were tellling me about going out by vernon to run a trail. Anyhow after the clean-up me and dabears headed out to rattlesnake and well that took about 15 minutes so we headed down to little moab. Kinda busy down there and the guys down there decided to block the routes and were just kinda jerks. They were parking there rigs and then hiking around watching there buddies. So we just hung out down below and let the kids catch lizards. After they all left we played around. My first time down there it was kinda neat but just relaxing to be the only ones out there. We also found out that a stock Grand dont flex worth a crap lol We ended the day around 7 and figured it was a great day since we didnt break anything. Well I spoke to soon and was headed home thru Goshen when i got that loud clunk and sure enough the rear driveline was dragging. So had to throw the driveline in the back seat and puppy home. So yea all in all a good day and had to tell the wife i didnt break anything that wasnt under warranty, i love autozone!

out at rs? I wasnt paying to much attention just saw a good looking cj pulling out with an older couple. When pulling into little moab i passed a buggy on a trailer being pulled by a mormon school bus van. To bad i didnt get a chance to talk, maybe next time

Thanks everybody for coming out and giving a hand. Volunteers were lacking a little this year, but I guess thats what happens when I'm in charge So it really means something when people come out and are willing to get covered in insulation dust and dirt in order to help clean up our recreation areas.

That would be me. We waited for my son in law and the kids to show up after everyone left. They were slow so I picked up three more bags of trash along the road. When the kids showed up we headed out to the west side of the Sheeprock mountains, did some jeeping and hiking. It was a great day weather wise and even wore the dog out on the hike.
