We actually do a fair bit of work on that truck here....if I recall, the guy is a bit older, and yes, it's mainly a show truck....he doesn't really drive it around much from what I understand. Yes, it's gawddy as hell, and pretty ugly, but I do think it's cool that he keeps it nice. He's chromed just about EVERYTHING underneath it too....I think even the shocks are chromed (like the stabilizers) It's ugly, but hey, it's his style.
